Oh, Sweet Martha, NO!

Adam Sandler & Rob Schneider want to do a Gilligan's Island movie, with Sandler as Gilligan, Brian Dennehy as the Skipper, and Michael Caton as Thurston Howell. And Schneider as, I don't know, the "You can do it!" guy, or something.

In other words, the move is nearly complete. Due to weather, we weren't able to strap my bed to the van, but I have till Thursday to get it out of there.

Getting used to a few differences from my old place. High-Speed internet, awesome. Later leave and earlier arrival for work, awesome. Free food, no rent, no utilities, awesome.

Colder house, colder shower water, smaller bed, not awesome. Less privacy, Drive to the bus stop, not awesome. Also, longer drives to do Transformers shopping.

Otherwise, it kicks.

Speaking of, a few cool things happening around Transformers Geekdom.

The big Transformers convention, Botcon, occurred over the weekend in Texas. Lots of cool stuff was shown off, including an Optimus Prime Alternator that transforms into a Dodge Ram. Which I will definitely be buying.

Also, the announcement of the "filler" series between the end of Cybertron and the beginning of the movie promotions. G1 homages, including, for the first time since G1, Megatron turning into a gun. Due to American regulations, it became pretty much illegal to release a toy that transforms into a realistic looking gun, as the original Megatron. Since then, while Optimus has remained a truck for most of his career (except for Beast Wars when he was a monkey), Megatron has been, ummm, two tanks, a spaceship, a racecar/ship, a couple dragons, a dinosaur, and an alligator.

They'll apparently be releasing him in this new series, still un-named, as a futuristic, space-aged looking gun, thereby passing by government regulations. Can't wait.

Otherwise, just a ton of pictures of new products have been posted in the last few days, which you wouldn't have any interest in.
